to the professional it is work, and hard work too,

interpretation and execution.

The
use of the term art medium is,
to say the least, misleading,
for it is the artist that creates a work of art
not the medium.
It is the artist in photography
that gives form to content by a distillation of ideas,
thought, experience, insight and understanding.
Of course, there will always be
those who look only at technique, who ask "how,"
while others of a more curious nature will ask "why." Personally, I have
always preferred
inspiration to information.
My favorite thing is to go where I’ve never been.
To be able to see through there
eyes; photography offers our children, communication and
understanding....

Children
who hear acquire language without any particular effort; the
words that fall from others’ lips they catch on the wing, as it
were, delightedly, while the little deaf child must trap them by
a slow and often painful process. But whatever the process, the
result is wonderful. Gradually from naming an object we advance
step by step until we have traversed the vast distance between
our first stammered syllable and the sweep of thought in a line
of Shakespeare.
