Welcome to the NCSD Volunteer, Intern, and Educational Staff Support Services webpage.  This department screens and places college and university interns that are pursuing varying degrees related to Deaf Studies, recruits and places volunteers for events.

This office also supports NCSD’s 115c educational staff with NC Educator License renewal by collecting and documenting the CEU’s required for renewing a North Carolina teaching license.

**NOTICE OF SCREENING OF INTERNS AND VOLUNTEERS:**

Before an intern or volunteer is accepted or assigned, he or she must be screened and registered as an intern or volunteer.  The objective of screening is to ensure, so far as is reasonably possible, that students are safe in school environments. Screening is crucial because of the vulnerability of NCSD’s population.  There is a $10 non-refundable charge for a record check.
